How to get rid of dry skin on ur face?

Wel,l i did have a spot, i put some stuff on it that the internet said to use but it left all around it go dry, it looks really horrid, is there anyway to get rid of it. At the moment i'm using clenique mosterizer and blemish remover. Oh and if theres an easy trick to get rid of spotswithout bying special cream please mention it. Thanx xxx :)
