Any modern mushroom ideas?

I love decorative mushrooms. (not the drug kind) I've seen felt mushrooms and I've tried making them out of screws and bottle caps. We live in a very modern house and I want to incorporate them into it. Any ideas for making creative/ recycled material mushrooms out of everyday household items? (btw, I'm a super "go green" person so anything that reflects that would be cool) Thanks!!
