Any secrets for fishing for crappie?

I know there are a lot of tips and tricks out there and youtube and google have both been unsuccessful at find any. I fish in a crappie house which is basically a square shaped dock with water in the center and a house built around it in a little lake with lost of mostly crappie, catfish, and bass. I know about jigs and minnows and stuff, I just want to know odd little tricks that work great.
