Xbox360 2 Rings problem. Solutions? ?

I Realize that 2 rings mean overheatproblem now bare with me. My xbox is in a shelf kind of place facing down horizontal. Ive tried from opening my xbox getting up to the part with all those screws & geting stuck because i dont have a 10x or 9x screwdriver thing. Ive put a can of compressed air inside the back of my xbox Nada. Ive left it off from Hours & then once for the rest of the night. My warrenty expired last year. I noticed also when im playing games like GtaIv. Mw2 & Svr11 i can play thhem for a few hours a 1hour & 25 tops. But when i play 2K in 5-10 minutes it shuts off. Im not trying the towel trick. Just give me helpful tips & ways to get back gaming
