Both my ears pierced?

The piercing itself is almost painless and lasts only a few seconds. The clear studs are called retainers. The 6-8 weeks are healing times. If you do not keep an earring in at this time the hole will close. Even removing the piercing for a few minutes could cause the hole to close. A lobe piercing is around $10-$20 depending on the area in which you get them. For the first couple of weeks wear the original piercing. Changing it right away will cause irritation. Retainers cannot be pierced with so you will have to wait at least 3 weeks to change to them. I suggest waiting until you have more time (like the summer) A retainer could cause your piercing to get inflamed. Most retainers are made of plastic and healing piercings do not like plastic.
