I have somewhat of a hair crisis. Any advice?

So I keep hearing that if you're a woman with curves you need volumized long hair and my hair is about medium length but it doesn't have a lot of volume. I mean, it's straight but it doesn't have intense volume. I tend to wear my hair up in a bun with decorative little pins and my fringe bangs in the front. That's basically a hairstyle that looks pretty cute on me but I was wondering and really worrying if my hairstyle of wearing my hair up rather than down because it doesn't have much volume is going against my figure
